Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Coralville, IA 52241
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (with possibility of extension or conversion)
Shift- 12-hour days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Job Description:
Driving to and from other buildings using supplied utility van to deliver materials and using the SAP computer system.
Valid driver's License is required. Position will be for driving company van to other buildings in the Coralville area to deliver and pickup materials.
GED or HS diploma required
As a Material Handler, you'll ship, receive, package, count and route material, complete associated paperwork and/or operate machinery such as forklift, pallet jack, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate shipping and receiving and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
Responsible for assigned picking inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
Sets up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use forklift and other material moving tools and moving machinery.
Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations including MRB.
Performs inventories; physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.
Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler
