Passionate Age Group Swim Coach needed. If you enjoy working with children and are dedicated to the sport of swimming, this is the job for you! Boca Raton Swim Team is a non-for-profit organization. The home pool is located at Boca Raton High School and offers 10 lane 50 meter and 22 lane 25 yard outdoor pool. The program operates year-round practices and a year-round competition schedule. This individual will serve as lead coach our 9-12 year old athletes 5 days a week, 2 hours a day with a focus on teaching competitive strokes in a safe supportive setting.

Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Must live within a commutable distance to Boca Raton.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 5pm - 7pm

Some Saturdays, 8am - 10am

What you'll be doing:

• Support the head coach and team to create and work with swimmers ages 9 - 12 years old that are at the introduction level, teach stroke fundamentals while maintaining a safe, supportive, learning environment.
• Teaches athletes the principles of the 4 competitive strokes and the correct stroke and skill mechanics.
• Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
• Become or maintain status as a USA Swimming certified coach in good standing.
• Check the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving, clean up the area at the end of practices.
• Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants, and other staff.
• Attend swim meets as needed relevant to the level of swimmers in the assigned group.
• Attend swim meets: when Boca Raton Swim Team hosts swim meets at home pool. We host 3 -4 swim meets per year AND local swim meets within tri-county area when swimmers are entered

What you'll need:

• The ability to obtain and maintain all certifications required to be a coach in good standing with USA Swimming (compensation offered for certification of credentials)
• Prior swim instruction experience
• Solid knowledge of all 4 competitive strokes.
• Proven experience and a strong passion for working with children.
