Job Description

GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator to join our DFW team. As a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation, including locating and drilling horizontal bores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and conduct drilling operations according to project plans and specifications
• Locate existing utilities using electronic equipment and mark their locations
• Navigate and drill bores according to predetermined paths
• Install conduit, pipe, and cables underground
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• 6+ years of prior experience operating directional drilling equipment and locating utilities
• Strong knowledge of underground construction practices and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Knowledge of utility locating equipment and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CDL license preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to work during weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Travel required
