Job Description

Summary

Working under general supervision, the Manufacturing Supervisor will lead a team transforming ingredients and materials staged in from our warehouse team and turn them into deliciously baked and packaged Killer Brownies! As the primary leader on the floor, you will guide daily operations, leading and supporting team members while ensuring safe operations, high sanitation, food safety, and product quality standards. You will also play a key role in driving plant wide initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and support continuous improvement efforts across the operation.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead the team, providing guidance on quality and production goals
  • Promote a safe work environment setting an example through adhering to OSHA safety standards, identifying unsafe conditions and taking immediate corrective action
  • Maintain product quality with a strict adherence to good GMPs and Killer Brownie’s food safety program
  • Drive daily operations by leading daily shift huddles and communicating daily priorities
  • Motivate and develop teams, creating a highly engaged and efficient work team through regular training and feedback
  • Create weekly personnel schedules to ensure resources are deployed effectively to maximize run efficiency and meet budgeted labor goals
  • Create, monitor and adjust production work orders through NetSuite ERP software
  • Ensure strict adherence to killer brownie recipes with accurate data collection and documentation to maintain high product quality and reduce material waste
  • Actively participate in minimizing waste, improving quality and efficiency through a continuous improvement mindset
  • Work in collaboration with cross functional departments such as sanitation, quality assurance, maintenance and warehouse
  • Model the killer brownie values of love, joy, creativity and growth
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing or similar environment
  • 2-3 years’ of previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Food safety knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and processes is a plus (Six Sigma, DMAIC, TQM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Familiarity or prior working knowledge of Redzone Productivity Suite preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in basic computer knowledge and software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Proven leadership experience with hourly teams; ability to motivate and develop others
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods; role may require off-shift or weekend work
