Salary Range: $26.44 - $33.65 Hourly

Position Summary

Radiant Global Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive International Operations Agent to join our JFK team. In this role, you will facilitate the international movement of products, equipment, and materials via air and ocean freight. You will ensure shipments comply with organizational policies, as well as local, national, and international regulations. This is a dynamic role that blends operations with customer support and business development.

Radiant Global Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive International Operations Agent to join our JFK team. In this role, you will facilitate the international movement of products, equipment, and materials via air and ocean freight. You will ensure shipments comply with organizational policies, as well as local, national, and international regulations. This is a dynamic role that blends operations with customer support and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely rates and quotes for customers and overseas agents.
  • Coordinate import and export bookings with airlines and ocean carriers.
  • Collaborate with Branch Manager and sales teams to support and develop customer relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and agents to enhance service competitiveness.
  • Prepare and process all required shipping documentation, including HAWBs, AES filings, manifests, shipping instructions, hazardous cargo declarations, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Dispatch pick-ups and coordinate with agents, drayage companies, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, clearing agents, and warehouses.
  • Track shipments, resolve billing or shipping discrepancies, and provide timely updates to customers and vendors.
  • Act as a liaison with Customs Brokers, Ocean and Air Terminal Operators, and other partners.
  • Support branch and individual performance metrics, striving to meet or exceed targets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of operational experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry.
  • Experience in international freight forwarding is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a blended operational and customer development role.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and metric-driven.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to read, interpret, and apply complex international regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to team success.

Work Schedule

  • Set working hours of 8 hours per day with requisite meal and rest breaks.
  • Consistently report to work on time, prepared to perform required duties.
  • Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.

Work Environment:

  • Usually moderate noise level.
  • Climate controlled office environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular physical demands: Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $26.44 - $33.65 Hourly Salary Range

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Other compensation includes, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or stock options.
