About the Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position will support a variety of HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and engagement. The HR Generalist will act as a trusted resource for employees and managers while promoting a positive, compliant, and people-focused workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations matters including documentation, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with managers on performance and attendance issues, escalating complex cases as appropriate.
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence (LOA) and Workers’ Compensation coordination.
  • Exposure to full-cycle recruiting: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
  • Own and facilitate onboarding and orientation for Corporate new hires.
  • Remotely support onboarding for retail location new hires.
  • Help manage the company’s professional presence and employer brand through approved channels.
  • Provide support for employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with training coordination and performance review processes.
  • Maintain HR data, reports, and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business or HR-related preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience.
  • Experience in a retail, distribution, or multi-location environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems required, Paycom preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media or employer branding is a plus.
