Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational
- Repair or replace defective parts and components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Operate heavy machinery to test and assess equipment performance
- Follow safety protocols and standards during all work activities
- Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency
Qualifications - Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Proficiency in equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
