As our portfolio of collectibles, toys and brands expands, the Collectibles team is in need of additional support. We’re looking for a Brand Lead / Designer to champion product development from idea to production. You’ll guide the creative direction, on-shelf-identity, play pattern and product storytelling for a rapidly growing brand. This role blends strategic brand leadership with hands-on design — perfect for a creative who can think both like a marketer and a maker.
Responsibilities Include:
• Lead the brand vision: Define and evolve the creative direction, tone, and positioning for assigned toy brands.
• Design for play: Create packaging, product graphics, logos, patterning, and visual assets that reflect the brand’s style and target audience.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product Development, Brand Owners, Licensing, Marketing and Sales to ensure brand cohesion across all touchpoints.
• Concept development: Develop seasonal lines, sub-brands, and special edition concepts that build brand equity and retail excitement.
• Trend & insights: Track toy, pop culture, and design trends to inspire new ideas and keep the brand fresh.
• Presentation & storytelling: Build compelling brand decks, moodboards, and pitch materials for internal reviews and retailer or licensor presentations.
• Illustration and Technical skill: Must be able to create turnaround drawings of product as well as edit/revise designs based off Licensor feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in toy, entertainment, or consumer products design or brand management.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design for toys, packaging, or consumer brands.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); 3D familiarity (Blender, Cinema4D, or Fusion 360) a plus.
• Understanding of toy production methods, materials, and packaging constraints.
• Exceptional visual communication, organization, and storytelling skills.
• Passion for toys, play, and pop culture!
• Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
• Positive “Can Do” attitude
• Authorized to work in the US
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
